Wedding Series: Boutonnieres

I had previously blogged about my experience finding a florist and designing our bouquets.  (Link to the previous post incase you missed it!) We were so happy with how our boutonnieres turned out and I have to give my husband full credit.  He designed his and his groomsman's boutonnieres himself. (He actually styled his and their looks from their suits, ties, and belts right down to their shoes - but we'll talk about that another day.) He definitely had a vision and I thought their boutonnieres complemented our bouquets beautifully.

My husband's first and most important request was to create boutonnieres without the use of flowers.  I suggested using succulents or small  filler flowers but he didn't like the idea.  Instead, he chose to use hypericum berries with some bright green leavesHis boutonniere consisted of peach/coral hypericum berries and eucalyptus seed with a large round leaf.  The guys' had green hypericum berries, baby's breath and green oak leaves.

Thanks for reading and thank you for the support!  Tune in for my future post about how we used florals as decorations during our ceremony and reception.

Until next time,

E.
