Wedding Series: What to Pack in your Wedding Day Emergency Kit

I had mentioned in a previous post that I would write about my wedding day emergency kit.  Amidst the chaos of last-minute vow writing and final visits to the venue, this was probably one of the items on my to-do list that I had left until the last minute.

Unless you have a wedding planner, you'll likely be swamped with things to do during the last few weeks leading up to the wedding.  I would suggest delegating the task of putting together an emergency kit to one of your bridesmaids or a close friend.  I put together a list and asked one of my bridesmaids to gather the items for me.  You'll soon realize that the list consists mostly of things you will be able to find around your house.
  • Advil
  • Band-aids
  • Blotting sheets
  • Bobby pins
  • Bottle of water & straw(s)
  • Bug spray (for weddings in the Summer months)
  • Cash
  • Chalk (to cover up any last-minute smudges/smears on wedding dress)
  • Comb
  • Contacts & Contact solution, Eye drops
  • Deodorant
  • Extra copy of vows & thank you speech
  • First aid kit
  • Floss
  • Granola bars (or other easy-to-carry snacks)
  • Hair spray
  • Hair ties
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Lint roller
  • Lip balm
  • Lotion
  • Make-up & Make-up remover
  • Mini sewing kit
  • Mints/gum
  • Mouth wash
  • Nail clippers
  • Nail file
  • Nail polish (clear)
  • Pads/Tampons
  • Pens/Paper (Post-in notes)
  • Perfume
  • Phone charger
  • Q-tips
  • Razor
  • Sewing kit (Safety pins, needle & thread, scissors)
  • Scotch tape
  • Sunscreen
  • Super glue
  • Tide-to-go
  • Tissues
  • Toothbrush/toothpaste
  • Tweezers
The last thing you'll need to do is to find something to store these items into.  Although it was an extra item to lug around throughout the day, a few things did come in handy.  Hoping it'll be beneficial for you on your wedding day :)

Happy planning,

E.
